Noir! PROGRAM

About US:

Our first show was performed in the only space we could get our hands on—a parking structure—where we played our sound cues through car speakers and lit the show with headlights. There was a car chase. We rode bikes during scenes and made entrances in a buick. It forced us to think outside the box and It set the tone for everything that we’ve done since. we’ve still never performed in a conventional theater. Now we create unique shows and concepts in the most exiting ways we can, in the most interesting spaces we can find. We are so glad to have you on this journey with us, and hope to see you again and again at future experiences.

They say some guys are born in the wrong era. Aidan Collett figures (Bingo) he just brought the right one with him. He swapped the Jersey Shore for Los Angeles, picking up a BA in Film Production and Theatre Arts at Loyola Marymount University before making Downtown Rep his home turf. Since then, he’s prowled the stage as Lister in Witch!, Baron Luca in fangs!, and Nicolo Manzini in Masq! A Haunting. Offstage, you’ll find his work in a new Torrance Theater Company play, the Western Are We Different, the period feature Out of Babel, and LMU’s Severed Ties. He’s also a director—his short Clown Face is in post. In Noir!, Aidan slips into a gangster’s skin with ease, fueled by his love for the vintage jazz and swing era. Cigar smoke. Club lights. He calls the shots. aidancollett.com , @aidanccollett
